Seasons Greetings

I just watched a Presidential news conference on Iraq. It is clear President Bush has no real understanding of the country, not it's history, not it's demographic make up, not it's current reality or what we are doing there. After four years of war in the country, the idea that the architect of the conflict, really hasn't taken much of an interest, is discouraging. The Fundies think these are the end times. One can only hope so. If Jesus comes down from Heaven, to lead the forces of the righteous, perhaps he will take a personal interest in what is happening and provide a little informed leadership. Revelate me, Baby!

Tom DeLay started a blog yesterday, for about 45 minutes. He had to shut it down, due to a deluge of harshly critical comments. I just wish I could get a level of traffic like that. Some people get all the luck. They'll probably have free wireless access at that prison he's going to.

The Environmental Protection Agency, which Bush packed with corporate polluters, has exempted the worst of the atmospheric mercury polluters, to ease the strain of increased urban development. The EPA has also signalled it is ready to declassify lead as an atmospheric pollutant, at the behest of Big Oil and the lead acid battery producers. Atmospheric lead has been strictly controlled since the Carter Administration, levels have decreased by 90% in the last thirty years.. Mercury and lead are known causative agents of neurological malfunction in the young. Wher's all that Culture of Life, Save the Children crap, when you need it.

They've sent Ted Haggard to Tucson, to cure him of being Gay. I understand there's something in the water, there, that does it. Good luck, Ted. After they cure that homo thing, you can work on the methamphetamine problem. That will help with all those religious delusions.

I think a defeatist attitude is the wrong approach, and in the end will be the death of us and our way of life. I think you're way off track on this, and taking a swipe at religious types make you libs look real "compassionate". And I also think Bush has a far better understanding of history and how to fight this war than you give him credit for.

In fact, to prove my point, let's take a page from the history books, during another dark hour in our nation's history when we had a president who was thought to be a bumbling, inept hick, who was being counciled by his advisors to withdraw and surrender.

He thought differently, and knew that to do so, in a letter he wrote "that at home, it would discourage the friends of the [nation], embolden its foes, ... in fact, it would be our national destruction consummated."

That president was Abraham Lincoln. And wisely he ignored their advice to withdraw from Ft. Sumter, as President Bush is wisely ignoring the "advice" of the ISG (Ignoramus Surrender Group), and has in fact, under wiser council, determined a more sound strategy for victory in Iraq. According to what I read over at www.lucianne.com, he has thrown out all the recommendations of the ISG report, and has developed a strategy based on that which we were successfully using against the insurgents in Viet Nam - until Congress cut the legs out from under the military. Essentially, we'll be retaking Bagdad, and holding those areas, instead of leaving and allowing the insurgents to re-retake what we've already won.

The drumbeat of the MSM drives Americans into a frenzy of thoughtlessness, much like the sheep in Orwell's Animal Farm, bleating out "Four legs good, two legs bahhhhd.", because that's all they were intelligent enough to remember.

We are such sheeple in this country. We don't excersize any critical thought anymore. We don't think for ourselves, and just sit in front of the idiot box, or read the papers, and let them tell us whatever they want us to believe, despite the fact that we have gajillions of gigabytes of information at our fingertips exposing the truth for all to see. Yes, some of it is spurilous, and that's where the critical thought is required, to sift out fact from falicy. Instead of complete falicy from the MSM alphabet brainwashing, telling you over and over "get out of Iraq, get out of Iraq, more soldiers died in a war today, more soldiers died in a war today, President Bush's approval rating is down blahdy-blah percent in the latest poll published today, President Bush's approval rating is down blahdy-blah percent in the latest poll published today, we need a time-table to downsize the troops, we need a time-table to downsize the troops, Four legs good, two legs bahhhhd, Four legs good, two legs bahhhhd, blah-blah-blah.

Americans need to wake up, and realize that Bush is not the real enemy, and that real enemy likes to take home movies of what he does to his victims.
