Here's an article that reports on a deposition filed in a US Court, by the Chief of Staff to former Secretary of State Colin Powell, a man holding the rank of Colonel in the US Army, that President Bush and many of his top Cabinet members knew, from the start, that most of those held at Guantanamo were guilty of nothing, had no valuable intelligence worth gathering and posed no more danger to US national security than any other random citizen of their respective countries of origin.
What do you think about that? Doesn't surprise me at all. What, did you think it would?

Sorry, totally unrelated but I had to sound off about the recent collision over at "the stupid shall be punished" blog. I know you go there.
Now what the hell is happening with the submarine navy????
In regard to Bush being a war criminal...remember that he was born in Connecticut not Texas. Don't trust Yankees.
Anything that's shat out by "Veterans Today" is considered liberal to me. I don't believe everything I read and this is one of them.
GTMO? How would I have handled that? I'd have killed all of them even before they stepped foot on planes for Cuba.
That was the BIG problem. They knew that they were heading into a political quagmire with this one, but be rest assured, the article is LYING because every single swinging dick in GTMO that wore dirty pajamas were all ruthless, insane, and bloodthirsty killers.
What's strange though is that we are both attacking Bush today, but for very differing reasons.
Take care shipmate.
